Location In the top Valtellina (Valtellina), southeast in the Rhaetian Alps, close to the Italian-Swiss border from the Engadine. Distance from Munich 270 km, Stuttgart 360 km, 290 km from Basel.



Getting Landeck - Lower Engadine - Zernez or Landquart - Klosters (here car train through the tunnel Vereina, pay) - Lavin - Zernez. From Zernez 12 km in the direction of the Ofen Pass to Road Tunnel Munt La Shera (metered; See current opening time information www.livigno.eu).



Characteristics Livigno runs as alpine 'village street' for miles through the valley below the Monte della Neve. Usually lots of snow and sun, the vast ski area and the duty-free shopping in Livigno, make one of the hottest Italian winter sports resorts with a relatively high proportion of German audiences. The creation of the pedestrian zone has been very positive impact on the atmosphere in the town.



Ski Livigno offers on both sides of the valley an extensive tree-free ski resort with 32 lifts and lifts up to 2800 The majority of the nearly 115 marked pistes with runs up to 5 km in length and slightly moderate. Of course there are some fast-paced, challenging slopes, such as the Lac Salin or the hunchbacked Diretissima from Monte della Neve. Trepalle

The small town is situated on 2096 m height Trepalle, 8 km upstream of Livigno, near the road to Bormio, located about 1.5 km from Passo d'Eira. With the chairlift Trepalle have direct access to the ski Mottolino Monte della Neve (2795 m), see also the ski resort Livigno / lift No. 8 on the left side. In the village post office, shops, duty-free shops, restaurants and bars. Free ski bus along the main road. In the outlying districts of ski taxi to telephone reservation (payment).
